We’re crazy about the Earth. That’s why Seed Media is offering a way for our clients to give back to the community and the world! For each client that purchases a website and at least one year of managed hosting, we will donate one tree in your honor to Friends of Trees in the Northwest or thirty five trees to the Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign in Brazil to help restore the tropical forest.
Closer to home, we support Friends of Trees, an organization whose goal is to restore green spaces in Portland, Vancouver, Eugene, and Springfield. These real-life superheroes have planted over 450,000 trees since 1989.
For a global impact further away, we donate to Plant a Billion Trees, whose mission is to regrow the once thriving Atlantic Forest in Brazil. Their goal is to plant one billion (!) trees by 2015, which will remove four million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere annually.
We’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse.
Seed Media believes in the value of non-profits. We’re active in non-profit organizations and know how important your work is, so we’d like to help you.
Seed Media offers a limited amount of discounts each year, and do not require a 501(c)(3) to take advantage of the savings. If your budget is tight, the goal of your organization is to promote greater good in the world, and you cannot afford our usual rate, let us see what we can do to still be able to assist you in achieving your goals.
Fighting for the future of technology.
We believe in further the advancement of people and businesses, both in our professional and personal lives.
Whenever possible, we utilize Open Source software and web-platforms to help us with our tasks. Not just because it is free though that is an added benefit, but because we see technology shared by the people as the future of the world. Not only can you help improve existing software to better others (without fear of being sued), but you can also help those not in a position to afford high-end and unnecessarily expensive software packages.
While we can’t necessarily pledge to use Open Source in everything we do, we strive to use CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal in development – while also giving back to the community by helping solve bugs, and maybe even adding an extension or two.
P.S. This does not effect ownership of the site in any way. Your property is yours. We simply strive to use tools that are free and open to the public, to support something bigger than ourselves.
